NOSE
Slightly spicy nosefeel and drying, overall. Toffee apples. Hints of honeycomb balanced by remnants of youthful zestiness – linseed oil and scented tea.
PALATE
Without water, the flavour is sweet to start then drying in the finish. Warming, light and smooth; tending to delicate. Malty and oaty base notes.
FINISH
Drying. Pears and digestive biscuits, then delicately spiced with notes of aniseed.
NOSE
Soft, inviting, dry, and autumnal. Sweet, stewed fruits (apricot preserve), ripe autumn apples, and rich berry fruits.
PALATE
Firm to full. Again dry and sweet, gently dominated by nuts, dark toffee, and gentle mint, before the fruits return as rhubarb and apple juice.
FINISH
Sweetness softly introduces a longer, drying oakiness. Stewed-fruit freshness. Wood-smoke spiced with faint black pepper.
Nose: Malty with cereal/barley sweetness, buttery toast, wood shavings, hay and walnut.
Palate: Orange zest spiciness perks up a malty core of nuts, oak and toffee, hints of cut grass.
Finish: Oaky, rich with good length, some fruit lingers.
