AUTUMNAL BOUQUET
The wine’s maturity is immediately apparent, with autumnal notes of roasted chestnuts, toasted buckwheat, rich nuts, honey and nougat. White fruit is then revealed, reminiscent of a mealy apple or a beautifully ripe pear. Scents of iodine, dried flowers and pine sap complete the aromatic bouquet.
LIVELY, WELL-DEFINED PALATE
The palate is direct and energetic, supported by lively yet delicate acidity, and a finely polished structure, enveloped by a refined, grainy texture. The wine finishes with a pleasant hint of white grapefruit bitterness.
TASTING NOTES:
A powerful, multidimensional champagne
APPEARANCE
Yellow, with a golden glow.
AROMA
Coffee, praline and Viennese pastry give way to citrus peel and kumquat, followed by mineral-tinged aromas redolent of the sea.
TASTE
The silky, opulent palate expresses notes of candied citrus fruits, plums and nectarines, dried figs and dates, and vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. A precise finish has a lightly bitter saltiness.
GENEROUS BOUQUET
The initial notes of the bouquet are sweet, tinged with a fruit salad of red berries (wild strawberries, raspberries, pomegranate seeds), it then develops a touch of acidity with blood oranges and starfruit. Scents of spices (black pepper, dark chocolate, cinnamon), dried flowers and fresh leather complete the bouquet.
SPICY, WELL-DEFINED PALATE
On the palate, the full-bodied attack confirms the wine’s voluptuous character. The polished structure of the Pinot Noir is accompanied by a sensation of crisp stone fruit (plums, cherries). The texture is finely powdered. A delicate astringency underscores the long finish (pink grapefruit, lime zest).
A NOSE WITH VIBRANT FRUITINESS
Morello cherry, cranberry: red berries start proceedings, before being joined by nuances of juicy summer fruit like fig and nectarine. A note of grenadine syrup punctuates the gourmand aromas.
A LUSCIOUS PALATE, COMBINING SOFTNESS AND FIRMNESS
With their pronounced aromas right from the start, the sweetness of the red berries melts into the ensemble and becomes lighter, giving way to a sensation of balance between fruit and freshness. The fresh finish releases a delicately bitter note of pink grapefruit.
A BOUQUET OF FRESHNESS
The first fresh notes of pink grapefruit and blood orange are followed by the scents of small red stone fruits such as morello cherry, before finishing with nuances of wild strawberry and rhubarb.
A BALANCED PALACE
The sensation starts out balanced, soft and silky. The initial airy and delicate texture then asserts itself with a fruity and slightly astringent finish, evoking plum or damson plum.
