Nose
With the first sniff, caramel, vanilla, honey and dried fruits. With a little swirl, oak, black pepper and smoke notes.
Palate
Has a very sweet character similar to the nose. Sweet-spicy and smoky aromas followed by caramel, honey, chocolate and dried fruits.
Finish
A dry, warm, medium-length finish with dried fruits, caramel, light smoke and black pepper.
Nose: Sweet and floral, light vanilla custard, sweet pineapple, candied lemons, honeysuckle, sweet pastry.
Palate: More pastry up front, lightly briney, sweet citrus and a buttery vanilla cream middle with some lightly smoky malt.
Finish: Light, sweet flowers, lingering green wood.
Nose: A mellow, rounded nose, with a dry smokiness (a Johnnie Walker signature flavour) mixed with raisin sweetness.
Palate: The first sip reveals a velvety mouthfeel, then an explosion of flavour – hazelnuts, honey, rose petals, sherry and oranges. Subsequent sips reward you with more hidden secrets like kumquats, wispy aromatic smoke, sandalwood, tobacco, and dark chocolate.
Finish: A rich and uniquely long and satisfying finish of smoke and pepper, ending with a glorious touch of spice.
Nose: Rich and softly smoky, with background notes of chocolate and fragrant sandalwood.
Palate: Fresh fruit and grass lead into stewed fruit, soft spice, nuts and coffee.
Finish: Long and spicy.
Nose: Slightly smoky and almost medicinal on the nose, it offers up hints of vanilla, a little tar, a touch of barbecue sauce, citrus and malt.
Palate: Good body and very creamy with a sublimely malty core. It offers up a surprising level of peat smoke which works really well. Creamy sweetness, hints of soft wood smoke, salty butter, custard and cereal grains.
Finish: Good length with notes of malt, boiled sweets, black pepper and cool smoke.
